Rachel was born in Houston, TX. She boot-scooted her way up the bible belt to settle in the buckle of Kansas City 12 years ago. Once she began writing she realized poetry was an addiction she would not soon shake. Hundreds of poems and performances later, Rachel believes that poetry is a living, breathing art and performance is a shock to the heart of its vitality. "Performance poetry is an experience that is shared between the audience and the artist." Witty and honest, Rachel can bring a room to life with her energy and enthusiasm. When she's not grasping at the last threads of her sanity, Rachel can be found at the park, giggling with her 8-year-old.
